Cotton prices extended their gains through Tuesday, adding 45 to 107 points to the upside. March pulled back from the high of the day, which had the contract at a 253 point gain. 

Census released their official October export data with 546,737 bales of cotton shipped. That was down 22% from September, but was up 20% from October 2021. YTD shipments are at 2.481m bales through the first 3 months. 

The online cotton trading platform, The Seam, had 5,574 bales sold on 12/5 for an average price of 81.62 cents. The Cotlook A Index for 12/2 was 20 points higher to 103.1 cents per pound. The AWP for the week is 73.03 cents/lb, through Thursday. 

Dec 22 Cotton  closed at 85.39, up 45 points, Mar 23 Cotton  closed at 84.59, up 73 points, May 23 Cotton  closed at 84.18, up 95 points. (Source:
