Dear Member,

My first note to you since I took over as President is to present an idea which is very close to my heart.

I have always wished that our Association should become a platform for enhancing the careers of everyone who works in the cotton sector.

It should also become a training ground for members and their staff to increase their skills and expertise enabling them to handle their business better.

We have therefore taken the initiative to start a program which will be called 'Learn with CAI' which will consist of a series of seminars covering various facets of business.

These seminars will be held according to a fixed schedule. To begin with we have decided to hold a seminar on the last Saturday of every second month. This will help members plan and build in the 'Learn with CAI' program into their schedules.

Each seminar will be conducted by an expert of the topic being covered who may be assisted by other experts.

I am confident that 'Learn with CAI' will over a period of time become a very popular tool for our members to help them achieve a standard of expertise which will enable them to be at par with the best from other sectors.

I am also aware that to begin with the program may have certain hitches and it will be our endeavour to improve at every stage and we welcome inputs from you.

The first seminar that we have planned will cover 'Marine Insurance' and will be held on Saturday 31st January.

I am certain that all of you will come forward and make 'Learn with CAI' a big success your participation.
