"Sneh Sammelan"
At Cotton Exchange Building, Cotton Green
In keeping with the rich tradition,
Cotton Association of India, jointly with Bombay
Cotton Merchants' & Muccadums Association, organized
a "Sneh Sammelan", a get-together to celebrate
Diwali and New Year at newly built Conference Room
of the Association on 3rd November 2008. It was
well attended by members and other invitees.
Shri A.B. Joshi, Textile Commissioner, graced
the occasion and inaugurated the Conference Room
by lighting the traditional lamp. It was an opportunity
to all segments of the cotton community to come
closer, exchange views and wish each other on
this happy occasion. Shri S.M. Makharia, Vice-President,
CAI welcomed the gathering. Shri Makharia said
that the Conference Room will be used for holding
cotton training courses and other events involving
80-90 participants.
