Sub: Celebration of International
Year of Natural Fibres (IYNF) 2009 scheduled to
be held on 22nd and 23rd January, 2009 at Mumbai
- regarding postponement.
Sir,
As a part of celebrations of International
Year of Natural Fibres (IYNF) 2009, it was decided
by the Government of India to host the first major
event i.e., an International Conference of Natural
Fibres on 22nd & 23rd January, 2009 at Hotel Trident,
Nariman Point, Mumbai.
In this connection, it is to inform
that in the backdrop of the extraordinary situation
arising out of the recent terrorist strikes on
26th & 27th Nov., 2008 in Mumbai, it has been
decided by the Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of
India that the said Conference stands postponed
as of now.
Inconvenience caused is regretted.
